This morning was. . .
+ a cool, post-rain breeze that felt like fall in the South.
+ bright pink nails in my new favorite color.
+ country music on the walk to work.
+ iced green tea & lemon pound cake from Starbucks.

This afternoon will be. . .
+ grocery shopping at Whole Foods.
+ stopping by the stationery store.
+ my first try at homemade sangria.
+ vacuuming the apartment and making the bed in the living room.

This evening will be. . .
+ picking up Stephanie "Merriam" F. at the airport!
+ metro cards, rush hour, and luggage.
+ dinner under the colorful umbrellas at Rio Grande.
+ lots & lots & lots of catching up.

an introduction, however late.

Most days, I read this blog. And sometimes this one. And occasionally things like this. And they are so beautiful & light that I finally had to mimic.

But I don't have a kitchen to redecorate, I don't have children to dress in smocks from Etsy, and I just can't jet set off to Paris for the inspirational view. So my only option was to mimic in blog form.

Et voila! Here I am.
